Confluence is a long form big band composition about a the coming together of two rivers. Sketches of Costa Rica is a four-movement suite for jazz octet echoing the four moods of a day: early morning with birdsong, midday in sweltering heat, afternoon under deafening thunderstorms, and nighttime in tranquility and repose.
